So what are you doing this May? Come get your hands dirty with us :)
You cannot believe what a thrill this is for me. I feel so privileged to be participating in Celebration II.
When I created my site, I thought it would be a great way to share and bring people into the cool world of making Dioramas.
Now to have the opportunity to meet you guys in person is just mind blowing. I can't wait.
When asked what I wanted to do I thought, what Group project would best fit with the 25th Anniversary of Star Wars? Mos Eisley !!!
So what exactly is the Celebration II Mos Eisley Workshop?

Let's start with the Room Layout
(You can click on the image to get a larger picture)
XX
The Diorama Workshop will be held in Rooms116/117 in the Indiana Convention Center.
Located near the Reception room of the 500 ballroom, it measures a whopping 60 feet X 60 feet with 12 feet high ceilings
3600 square feet total - so I don't think we will be running out of space - LOL
XX
When entering, you will be able to see some of my Diorama Creations AND some of Niubniub's Visitors Dioramas as well.
As you enter deeper into the Workshop, you can decide what area you wish to participate in.
Individual Tatooine homes, Cantina, Docking Bay 94, Moisture Vaporators and the Huge Crashed Ship from Special Edition.
In the center of the room will be the Mos Eisley Diorama. Measuring a whopping 8 feet X 16 feet.

What are we making? and How can I participate?
(You can click on the image to get a larger picture)
XX
The Diorama will be constructed on top of 4 sheets of plywood (8 feet X4 feet) for a total of 8 feet X 16 feet.
If you look at the Diorama Layout, you can see we have counted 48 buildings, Docking Bay 94, Cantina and Crashed Ship.
Creation of the Diorama will be divided into several groups. You get to decide where you want to help :)
XX
Diorama Group A - Single and Double Dwellings
As you know, Mos Eisley has a lot of houses. Here is your chance to create an entire house of your own.
Houses will be approximately 12"X12" wide, 12"X24" for doubles. These will be individual projects.
There are 48 houses to make, we will have lots of picture references handy.
House designs will be given out on a first come, first serve basis, so come early.
Now for the best part, those who create a house, get to keep it as a Celebration II Souvenir - How cool is that?
Your house can only be picked up on Sunday May 5th Between 3:00 and 3:30 PM after pictures of the Finished Diorama are taken.
Hasbro Figures and Toys used to dress up the Houses are NOT included to take home.
Unclaimed houses will be given away on a first come first serve basis.
XX
Diorama Group B - Mos Eisley Cantina
As you know, Mos Eisley cannot exist without a cantina :)
Due of it's size, and so many details like Chairs, Tables, Bandstand etc...This project will be a Group Effort.
The Cantina will be approximately 2 feet X 3 feet. Because many are needed for it's creation, you cannot keep what you created.
But the good news is that Sunday May 5th at 1:30 PM, there will be a drawing. The winner takes home the Entire Cantina !!!
Hasbro Figures and Toys used to dress up the Diorama are NOT included in the Prize.
The Winner MUST be present in the Diorama Workshop room to claim his prize.

Diorama Group C - Docking Bay 94
How can we not include a cool Diorama like Docking Bay 94?
Due of it's size, approximately 4 feet X 4 feet...This project will be a Group Effort.
Because many are needed for it's creation, you will not be able to keep what you created.
However, on Sunday May 5th at 1:35 PM, there will be a drawing. The winner takes home the Entire Docking Bay 94 Diorama !!!
Hasbro Figures and Toys used to dress up the Diorama are NOT included in the Prize.
The Winner MUST be present in the Diorama Workshop room to claim his prize.

Diorama Group D - Mos Eisley Crashed Ship
In the Special Edition, Luke's Landspeeder passes by a Huge Crashed Ship stuck in the sand.
I had a lot of fun making my Jabba Sail barge so I thought I would personally head up the team for this cool ship.
Because of it's size and many details, approximately 2 feet X 3 feet...This project will be a Group Effort.
You can join me in it's creation but you will not be able to keep what you created.
However, on Sunday May 5th at 1:40 PM, there will be a drawing. The winner takes home the Entire Ship !!!
Hasbro Figures and Toys used to dress up the Ship's Diorama are NOT included in the Prize.
The Winner MUST be present in the Diorama Workshop room to claim his prize.
