What makes this unique Death Star room so cool, is
the arch of Red Control Panels that are located against
the rear wall.
You will need 7 stations, let's start with the first
one. You will need 6 pieces.
#5 and #6 are the same size as the print sides.
You can just cut them out and use them as
templates.
The other 4 pieces are as follows... Rectangle #3 measures
11cm X 5.5cm , Shape #4 is created by making a 6cm X 5.5cm
rectangle. Take your pencil and divide the rectangle in
half of the 5.5cm. On the bottom, put a mark 1cm from each
corner. Trace a line from this 1cm bottom mark to the TOP
corner. Now cut along those side lines and you will have
your "V" shaped piece.

Piece #2 measures 5.5cm X 4cm and piece #1 measures
4cm X 2.5cm.
These are the bottom supports for the Red Console. |

Using your Hot Glue Gun, center the #1 rectangle,
apply the hot glue to it's spine and attach to piece
#2.
The support is now done. |

Now glue side pieces #5 and #6 to the edges of rectangle
3#.
Before the glue hardens, tilt each piece inwards
to lean against the base (#4). You can dab an extra
drop of glue on the inside connections of #5 and #3,
and #3 and #6. |

So this is what your panel should look like so far.
All pieces now assembled, you need but cover the front
and ready it for the decals. |
July 14, 2008
Start with a 6.5cm X 13.5cm piece of black posterboard.
Posterboard is a little stronger then regular paper
but NOT thick like cardboard.
You could also use
black craftpaper if you already have some at home. |
July 14, 2008
Use a Glue Stick - NOT HOT GLUE (will harden too
quickly and create bumps in the posterboard) - along
the edges of pieces #5 and #6 and then press the posterboard
with your finger along the edges of the panel. |
July 14, 2008
Now take your exacto knife and trim the excess posterboard
along the edges of the left side (#6). |
July 14, 2008
Now flip over the control panel and repeat the procedure
along piece #5.
Using a NEW blade, gives you the cleanest cut but
BEWARE of your FINGERS !!! you can easily cut yourself
if not carefull. |

Once the sides are trimed you can slice along the
TOP of the control panel.

Take a black marker and draw on the EDGE of the sticker.
Go all the way around.
Go very slowly to avoid drawing ON the decal. |
July 14, 2008
Now carefully fold the base along the black tip. |
