Time to put on the Decals.
Use glue STICK - NOT glue gun for this step. You
want to have smooth stickers. Hot GLue will cause
bumps under the paper.
Apply some glue to the FRONT of the control panel. |

Then apply some more glue to the posterboard in an
up and down motion.
Be carefull to NOT press down TOO hard. you don't
want to tear a hole in the posterboard. |

If you printed your decals on stiker sheets, carefully
peel back the corner until the backing is completely
peeled away. |

Carefully align the bottom front of the decal to
the front corner of the control panel. |

Use your Index finger to press along the front decal
from side to side giving you a nice clean contact. |

Now using your thumb (or index finger) start at the
base and work your way UP to the TOP..
Apply pressure ONLY to the CENTER of the control
panel for now in order to avoid bubbles or folds in
the decal. |

Once the center is secure, gently press OUTWARD from
the center bottom all the way to the TOP. First the
left side, then the right side. |

Whatever little excess sticks out at the top, use
your Xacto blade to trim it off. |

Now you want to repeat that main console FIVE more
times. Then make TWO more that will be the bookends.
What this means is that one will have the support
flush against the RIGHT and the other will be flush
against the LEFT.

To make R2-D2's commlink port, a foamcore is TOO
thick so you need to slice it's thickness in HALF. |

Take the teeny tiny Port decal and stick it to your
half thick foamcore piece. |

Now cut around it and you will have a thumbtack head
size data link. |
