I was going through my loose extra figures and saw
Ceremony Leia.
What a perfect match for a "Normal" custom
of Luminara Unduli. A pretty simple swapping of the
head and arms is all you will need. |

The figure will consist of Luminara's Head, Arms
and Leia's Body and cape. |

Since, I didn't care if the figure would be articulated
for play, I just cut the joints off instead of boiling
and popping.
You need to trim off the Puffy Arm material from
Luminara's arms so that she will fit under the Leia
cape.
|
|
 |
Also, Luminara's
Left hand is too silly, I switched it with Leia's as well. |
 |
|
December 28, 2002
I used my Hot Glue Gun to attach the arms in place
and the a little Glue on the inside of the cape to
attach to Leia's Back.
Brown paint will hide the Glue inside the cape.
Oh and remember to switch hands as well. Once painted
you will never know the difference. |

I wanted to keep this cool sculpt piece from Luminara's
cloack.
Use your Xacto blade to carefully cut along the Hood's
Edges. |

Now Hot Glue it to the back of Leia's cape. |

Now you can attach Luminara's Head onto the body.
Her fancy headgear should fit right over Hasbro's
Hood. You could resculpt the hood but this way is
much faster and works well once painted. |

Here you can see how the Head Swap looks like from
the front.
Notice how the Left Hood Drape is in FRONT of the
shoulder. A little Super Sculpey hides the slice cut. |

Next, I sliced off the Detailed Front Sash from the
Luminara Dress and Glued it to Leia's dress with my
trusty old Hot Glue Gun
As you can see it is a little short. |
|
 |
 |
|
December 28, 2002
I used some Super Sculpey to elongate the Sash.
I used my tools to make fancy little paterns as close
as possible to the Hasbro pattern.
|
|
 |
Once I was happy,
I used the hair Dryer to harden the Super Sculpey before
painting. Be carefull, this addition is very brittle. |
 |

And with a little paint... we have a "Normal"
Luminara.
You can still see Leia's neckline but I was too
lazy to add Super Sculpey and make it perfect. Besides,
it's not that noticible from afar.
|
|
 |
A little green
paint on Leia's Left hand and some Dark Brown on her Cloak,
she looks great. |

Here is a comparison of the Before and After Makeover
:)
Although not as detailed as the original gown, it
is a HUGE improvement for a NORMAL looking figure.
On the right is perfect for the Arena but looks simply
stupid in any other setting. |

And here Luminara is in Palpatine's Office.
When you look quickly, you would not realise it was
a Leia Figure.
Plus it helps when the picture is a little out of
focus - LOL. Sorry about that :P |
